Monti Bay Lodge was established in 2005. The owner was in Yakutat, Alaska fishing with his father and fell in love with the phenomenal fishing. He felt that Yakutat would benefit from having better accommodations for the fisherman who visited the town year in and year out.
That year he set out to create, what is now, Monti Bay Lodge.
